Welcome, welcome, welcome!

If you have come to this page by curiosity, default, or a mistake thank you for visiting. Now if you are a prospective job looking up information about my character or how you think I will do on your job, wow! I didn't think you would find me! I hope you enjoy what you find, I don't change. I'm the same as I am during the interview!

Those that once was friends, I still love ya and hope that my pleasure brings you comfort in this time of needed space and growth. By that I don't mean that my pain is your comfort. Forgiveness and sincerity in doing so has already been at my house so I hope its at yours! We are all too grown to let hatred, bitterness, and false joy takeover our lives.

Come on in, get ready to read and drop a comment. I enjoy interaction and constructive criticism. Its healthy but please don't be disrespectful! You may learn some things to do in life, and not to do from me. Happy reading!

Martin Luther King Holiday

As we approach this holiday I have so many thoughts.  Thoughts about the future, thoughts about the past, thoughts about the present.  I reflect many times about the past.  I think in order to set goals for the future and learn what to do in the present we have to reflect on our past.  As people, as a whole, we definitely aren't where we were.  I mean people being closed minded, racism, separation.  It is different.  Many of those previously mentioned aspects are still present but it is most definitely differently now in 2013 than it was in the 1950's, 60's, etc.  In a sense we have lost something when it comes to the family aspect of life.  Families were much more loyal, tight nit, and loving then.  Now, people are so starved for love and attention that other attention grabbing things are going on.  I don't know how you feel but that's just my opinion.

Next,  present day.  I am looking at people and how we all live and there are some people who have come to the point where they or shall I say...we are very appreciative.  This life could have been extremely different had it not been for all of the leaders who fought for civil rights.  I think once I came to the realization that the 1940's, 50's, and 60's really wasn't that long ago.......I felt a sense of ...I don't know how to explain it other than to say it got real!   We are losing the reach of people who can tell personal accounts of the kind of cruelty and torture than racism subjected people to.  It doesn't happen as openly now but it does still happen.  I don't want our children or society to lose sight that although we have come a long way.....there is still a longer way to go.  Don't lose the facts that black people still have to have voting rights renewed every so often.  George W. Bush signed a 25 year extension in 2006.....this means that instead of automatically just having the right forever, we have to have someone sign off on voting rights for blacks again!  So, as a citizen of the United States of America I still feel as though my right to vote can be null and void in the next 18 years.

We are all so focused on social networking and money that we have forgotten to love others and stand up for what's right.  This is my entry point for this last paragraph, hopefully.  Future, I think we need a huge awakening.  Of all people.  Not just black, not just, white, not just asian, etc.....but all people.  We are all on this earth together and I would like for my childrens, children to be able to live on this earth and not be conflicted or in battle with the choices and stupidity that we are creating and have created.  DJango was a funny movie but the reality is that these things can happen again in different ways and in many ways now......its happening.  Anyway, just wanted to get some things on this blog about tomorrow because I think too many of us are taking our freedoms for granted and just rolling over on this holiday without giving thanks and praise.

Keep loving out there,

Kristie Love!
